Park City

David and I went up to Park City for Memorial Day weekend. It was very nice and relaxing. On Saturday night we went to this really yummy restaurant called Miner's Grill. It was seriously so delicious, I think we might drive to Park City just to go to that restaurant (it was that good). Sunday we didn't really do too much, we did have to come back home so we could teach our little nursery class. Other than that we just relaxed and watched a movie. On Monday we went to the outlet stores for a little retail therapy. I really miss shopping and buying new clothes. Before I got married I went shopping all the time (probably too much). But now I don't go nearly as often so it was fun to get some new things. I think I found my new favorite store though, Van Heussen they have really cute clothes and they aren't too expensive. We did buy coordinating Old Navy flag shirts for The 4th of July....haha yeah it was my idea. Well that was our fun weekend sorry there aren't any pictures I forgot the camera.

Our weekend getaway

This past weekend the hubs and I took a nice little trip to Denver. Even though it was a quick trip it was nice to get out of town and out of the house. We went to a Rockies game which was tons of fun! There was a player who hit a grand slam! And the Rockies ended up winning (which is always nice to see the team you are rooting for win). David and I love going to baseball games we have gone at least once a year every summer that we've been together. We also went to Elitch Gardens Denver's amusement park. Funny thing we've been to several amusement parks together but we still haven't been to the one in our own home town....hmm I think we need to change that. And we went to this funny restaurant that David said was so fun. Yeah it was pretty fun they had cliff divers and a little pirate show. But the food there tasted like BUTT! I don't think we will go to that place again. David also took me by his old house when he lived there with his family when he was little which was fun to see. One thing I will say about Denver is their streets are crazy its a very confusing city to drive in (I 'm glad David did all the driving I would have gone nutso).  I guess I should thank Frontier Airlines for delaying our flight last year (for like 12 hours) and giving us flight vouchers, so we could go on this nice little adventure.

I had to take a picture of this. How many guys does it take to hold a hose?

Motivation

As I was skimming through some old photos today I noticed something....I've gained A LOT of weight these past 2 years, that I've been married. And I know I say this at least once a year but this time it's for real. I'm really going to focus on getting healthier and getting fit. I lack some confidence in myself that I think would improve if I looked a little better than I do now.

Here are the pictures that are going to be my motivation.

A Fat Cat's kinda day

The hubby and I decided we wanted to go bowling the other day, so we went to Fat Cat's. They had a special going on where you could play one round of bowling, mini golf and do the arcade so of course we decided to do that. We wanted to have all the fun we could. It was a lot of fun I must admit though bowling in real life is way harder than bowling on the wii. I think I only got like 60 points...hey I did get a strike (not sure how but I did). Oh well this just means we need to go bowling more often...right?! Here are some pictures from our fun day!

Crafty Sissy

Today's blog is about my seester Natalie she is so crafty just like my mom. I really wish some of those genes would have come through on me but nope not really. Any who my sissy can turn the ugliest thing cute and can see things and turn them into something great (like a pringles can and turn it into a firecracker for the 4th of July....what the!). Most of my cutest decorations around the house are things she made for me or ideas I have gotten from her (she basically decorated my kitchen). You should really check out her cute craft blog it's great for new ideas or just for a fun read its Nat Mac's knick knacks.
