An evening under the stars

David and I were able to go see a production of Hello Dolly the other night. Our Bishop's family owns Day Murray Music, and he is also on the Murray Arts Council. So he had some extra tickets and called us to see if we would be interested in using them (I guess that's a perk of being the 2nd Counselor). We of course said yes, we weren't doing anything that night. It was so fun and I'm so glad we were able to go. But now I have the little tune from the musical in my head (the one they play in Wall-E). At least it got the Les Miserables songs out of my head for a while : )

Why can't we just break out into song whenever we want, and not have people look at us like we are crazy?!

I wish we still dressed like this

I know you can't see it well, but I love her hat

Act natural

K readers- AKA Mandy, I want your opinion on something. The other day I was doing my hair and decided I would try to embrace my natural curl wave. See it used to be curl up until about five years ago now its just wave. Anyways that's off subject, I was wanting to know what you think about how it. Is it OK or does it look like a rats nest? I sure hope its semi presentable because I actually went out in public with my hair like this. Please let me know your thoughts Hobson?

From a full to a queen

We got a new bed last week....yay! This past year we have been sleeping on my old full size bed (or as David's brother called it our "friendly bed"). I had that bed for about eight years. It was great when I first got it, and when I was the only one sleeping in it. But for sure it had seen better days and the middle was starting to sink in a little. This new mattress is great though; but the first night I did have a hard time sleeping in it. I'm not really sure why, its a great bed.  Its getting better though. David is sleeping great he has told me several times that his back already feels much better. And he is snoring again, he snored like this when we first got married but I just got used to it. Good thing I still had some ear plugs-they work great! That's a good sign though it means he is sleeping well. It was definitely time for an upgrade. My second favorite thing about it is that we got to get a new comforter set and I must say its super cute. My favorite part was that we saved $150.00. Yay for savings! It was only supposed to be $100.00 but they did their math wrong. Is it bad that I knew and didn't tell them? OK picture time

Good bye old bed. I'll miss you, OK no I won't

They lay out a red carpet when they deliver it. Well they are delivering a Queen.

They even leave you mints on the bed. I thought it was cute.

We moved our furniture around the room - it feels so much bigger now.

I love this, its much more grown up than what we had before.
Of course the decorative pillows that we don't use.

Our BONAfide family!!

Have I ever mentioned that I love my family? Well I do. My dad's side of the family tries to get together for FHE/ snacks/ socializing, about once every other month. This has been a tradition in our family for as long as I can remember and seriously its one of my favorite traditions that we have. So we had a little get together yesterday and I decided to take my camera with me (since I'm so into blogging these days). Some of my cousins were not fans of this, but really I wasn't trying to take pictures to be annoying. I just want to capture the memories, because my blog is basically my journal. And I like to look back on it from time to time so that's why I take as many pictures as I do. I promise though I won't post any of the ugly pictures. As you will be able to tell from the pictures we have a pretty big family my dad has seven siblings and all but one of them have at least two kids. Plus the grand kids are all adults and most of us are married and quite a few have kids of their own now. And not everyone was even at this little shin-dig. Well like always here are some pictures enjoy.

Aren't they so cute

Answers

So this post is a little embarrassing, apparently I only have one reader. Thanks Mand for playing along with my silly little post love you. I guess its a good thing you left a comment with three questions, I'll just answer all of them.

Q: If you could change one thing what would it be?
A: Haha this answer is a little vain of me. I would change my body shape/size.Now I know that this is something I can change but when you say change I take it as you are meaning right away. I would like to be about an inch taller and I don't know like 40lbs lighter. Hey maybe I will change this (not the height part but the rest) yes I think I am going to work on it. Thanks Mandy you have made me want to change my life...well sort of.

Q: What is your biggest regret?
A: When I was about 12 years old (I think something like that) my dad took my sister and I on a vacation. We went to Moab, Jackson Hole, rafting down the Snake River and a few other places. The whole time on the trip I was a bratty teenager and didn't want to do anything. And now that I look back on it that was a pretty awesome trip and I would've had such a great time and made a lot more memories had I just been a good sport. Cause who knows when I'll be able to go on a trip like that again.

Q: If you could do anything with anyone what would it be?
A: I would love to be able to go to a session of General Conference. And not just watch it on t.v but actually be in the Conference Center in the audience. That would be such an awesome experience to be in the presence of the prophet his counselors and all the apostles, plus I'm sure the spirit is just overwhelming.
